Who is the real Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs? by rebel_chick109
Q: Silence of the Lambs is based on a true story. Who exactly is the real Hannibal Lecter?
A: It was based on character in the movie Manhunter with the CSI guy William Peterson.
The Anthony Hopkins versions introduced the popular character as a main one and in the Red Dragon prequel they remade Manhunter.
How do i be as smart as hannibal lecter? (having the ability to read others)? by chicken l
Q: i'm a huge fan of hannibal lecter. i love silence of the lambs. haha not because i want to be a serial killer like him but i really admire his intellect and capability to predict how the clothes that clarice starling wears reflect her personality and stuff. he's really smart and i WILL GIVE YOU 5 STARS AND BEST ANSWER IF YOU COULD TELL ME WHAT SHOULD I DO TO BE AS SMART AS HE? (((((:
what psychology books should i read?
A: I'm pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that your IQ will remain the same througout your life so you won't be able to improve that. I know there are books about body language and how that reflects attitude and mood but I'm not sure about cloths, I'm sure someone who has majored in fashion and psychology could shed some light.
I love the Hannibal Lecter movies, he is extrememly intelligent, unfortunatly I think a lot of people are born with that type of intelligence and it is either extremly difficult or near impossible to train yourself to be that intelligent.
My advice, go to your local library and ask a libarian to help you find books on this kind of things.
Is it wrong to have been inspired to study psychiatry from the fiction character hannibal lecter ? by Enigma
Q: The psychological aspect of the hannibal lecter movies is pretty much the only thing i enjoy, i find the cannibalism horrific. But something about lecters ability to read others sparked a deep interest in me,ever since then psychiatrys been like a rabbitt hole for me ,im always finding something new and exciting.im planning on becoming a counselor.
A: Dr. Hannibal Lecter had a talent. Like everyone else in this world, it's up to you, regarding how you use this talent. If you remember from the film "Silence of the lambs", Lecter brainwashed his neighboring cellmate "Miggs" into committing suicide. According to the guard, he was "whispering to him all day". That's a pretty scary talent; to know the human mind so well, you can't help but manipulate it.
where can I find a really good quality Hannibal Lecter mask at and for a good price? by Saxy~2
Q: you know the mask Dr. Lecter has to wear in The Silence Of The Lambs with the bars across the mouth? I want to find one for a reasonable price. I'm a huge fan of the Hannibal series and I would really like to find it, thanks!
A: These look pretty good but they're over a hundred:

What is the story on the real Hannibal lecter? by Lela
Q: Instead of any of the movies on Hannibal lecter I want to know was the real Hannibal lecter a true cannibal?
A: Hannibal Lecter is purely fictional. The movies that focused on him, namely, Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal Rising, are also fiction, based on the books by Thomas Harris. His cannibalistic tendencies are closely related to those of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
What is the order of the books in the Hannibal Lecter series by Thomas Harris? by Jasmine
Q: Hi, I'm just wondering in which order do the novels go in the Hannibal Lecter series, written by Thomas Harris. Are they in the same order as the movies?
Thanks in advance!
A: This is the order in which Hannibal lives.
Hannibal Rising, Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal.
This is the order in which they were written and published:
Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Hannibal Rising
What line would make a good Hannibal Lecter eBirthday Card? by Gray Cloud
Q: A good friend's birthday is coming up soon. She loves "Silence of the Lambs" so of course, she LOVES Hannibal Lecter. Unfortunately I don't know anything about either, so do any of you have any good ideas of what to put on such a card? (And I really don't want to do something else, because her actual gift is also of Hannibal Lecter.)
And cheesiness is perfectly fine. We're the kind of people who thrive on that stuff, so it's to be expected.

Why do people think Hannibal Lecter is just a mad dog? by Brandie
Q: They say that Hannibal's crazy, but everything goes according to his plan; he's not a sloppy killer. And he's not a mass murderer because he actually specifies people who deserve to die. He's a gentlman, enigmatic, charming, suave, and cultured. Mad dogs are wild and off the hook, but he's got his cookies all in one jar and isn't all over the place. What do you all think? Why do people think Hannibal Lecter is absolutely whacko despite his planned circumstances?
A: It seems that your quite informed on homicide techniques eh? What I wonder would be your stupid nickname that the feds give you?
Perhaps "The Copycat Killer" influenced by the notorious Hannibal Lector?
What order should I read the Hannibal Lecter books in? by swendall
Q: I just received the Hannibal Lecter books for Christmas, but I am not sure what order I should read them in. The chronology of the books is different than the order in which they were published (sort of like the Star Wars movies). I was wondering if I should read them in the order that they were published, or if I should start with the earliest part of Hannibal's life and finish with the later part of his life. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
A: I read them in the published order, and it was a good way. Hannibal is a very complex madman who is slowly revealed over the course of four books. I remember the visceral thrill when, in "Hannibal" we get a hint of how he became known as "the Cannibal."
I'd read them in the published order:
Red Dragon
The Silence of the Lambs
Hannibal
Hannibal Rising.
Hannibal Lecter? by ALt
Q: Was Hannibal Lecter a real person or just a fictional character in a book because I am currently reading Hannibal Rising and I was just curious and I am also very interested in him the story is really cool.
A: Totally fictional, although it has been reported that Thomas Harris used the real life story of Ed Gein as inspiration for his book "Silence of the Lambs".
